REACH DATABASE FOR SAFETY DATA SHEETS AND WORKPLACE INSTRUCTION CARDS

The READ project aims at developing a valuable tool with the participation of producers/importers of chemicals, which is addressed to professional users in order to provide them with guidance on proper use in a friendly and direct way to ensure their health and the protection of the environment.

A NEW COMMITMENT FOR THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY

GPS (Global Product Strategy)

The GPS programme means implementing Responsible Care® in Product Stewardship. It focuses on integrating Health, Safety and the Environment into the entire life cycle of a product, from initial design to management after use. It covers a wide range and involves all parties concerned along the supply chain: producers, transporters, distributors, customers and in general all those who use, process or convert a product. “Product Stewardship” is the subject of a global initiative called Global Product Strategy (GPS).

GPS Chemical Portal

The International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) has established the GPS Chemical Portal to provide easy and free access to information on Health and Safety.

Within one (1) year from the date of registration of substances in accordance with the REACH Regulation (1907/2006/EC), member companies of HACI ought to submit “Safety Summary Reports” on a voluntary basis so as to become international players, given that they have already been submitted by industry leaders.
